Watch Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on Disney Plus this Month

Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is arriving on Disney Plus sooner rather than later.

You don’t have to wait much longer now to watch Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on Disney Plus. On Thursday, it was announced that Benedict Cumberbatch’s sequel of Doctor Strange featuring Elizabeth Olsen will be available on Disney Plus from June 22nd. Best of all, you don’t even have to pay any additional charges apart from your Disney Plus subscription package to watch.

@MarvelStudios made the announcement on their official Twitter:

Doctor Strange 2 is Arriving Earlier than Expected

Last year and in 2022 so far, three Marvel movies were released on Disney Plus simultaneously as they hit the theatres or a few months later. In July, Black Widow was released on Disney Plus and theatres at the same time, however, to watch it on Disney Plus you had to pay additional charges apart from your existing subscription package.

In September, Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings was released in theatres but it wasn’t available for streaming on Disney Plus until after two months after the release (over 70 days). In November, Eternals graced the cinemas, and it arrived on Disney Plus after 68 days (over two months).

Similarly, Doctor Strange 2 was expected to hit Disney Plus in mid-July, nearly 70 days after its original release on May 6th

Not only that, with Ms. Marvel coming on Disney Plus on June 8th and Thor: Love and Thunder’s theatrical release on July 8th, it was expected there might be a further delay and Doctor Strange 2 might not be available until later.

However, scrap everything you’ve heard so far, because you can rewatch Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness starting June 22nd

Marvel Studios uploaded a video message of the cast of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness featuring Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, and Xochitl Gomez. Watch it here:

So far, Doctor Strange 2 has earned $879 million at the box office worldwide, and sadly will not be hitting the billion-dollar which was expected of this film. Specifically, after the immense success of the Multiverse storyline in Spider-Man: No Way Home which earned nearly $2 billion at the box office.

Unfortunately, most fans believe Kevin Feige failed to pack the punch with this Marvel cinematic piece. Here’s to hoping this movie is the last of Phase 4 disappointments.

In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU ventures beyond the Multiverse and explores multiple dimensions unlike ever before. Join Doctor Strange on his journey into the unknown with the help of allies who mean him more harm than good, push boundaries with mind-bending, and juggle with messing up realities, all the while confronting an adversary he never expected.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. Directed by Sam Raimi and produced by Kevin Feige. The executive producers include Victoria Alonso, Louis D’Esposito, Jamie Christopher, and Eric Hauserman Carroll. The screeplay is written by Michael Waldron.
