IMDb Rating: 7.4/10

Directed By: Christopher McQuarrie

Starring: Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson

The fifth film mission impossible rogue nation 2015 starts with a bang with Rebecca Ferguson alongside talented actors such as Alec Baldwin, Sean Harris, and Tom Hollander. The impossible film follows Ethan Hunt and his trusted team of returning IMF agents who are assigned a mammoth task: to prove that the mysterious group Syndicate exists while also stopping the group’s leader before it’s too late.

Ferguson is a tough cookie to crack within the series and her character development adds a noteworthy twist and life to the series. Hunt soon gets captured by the Syndicate, a part which is led by Solomon Lane (Harris), who then tortures Hunt for information.

Hunt escapes the torture with the help of Faust. The main purpose of the Syndicate is to reassemble the world order via a series of heinous terrorist attacks. It’s all an attempt to frame Hunt for the crimes, which leads to him being constantly on the run.

The storyline is something that we are well versed with. Hero gets involved with the conspiracy, then gets framed, and then must be on the run, all the while relying on his incredible skills as an agent to take the Syndicate down before they complete their plan.

The formula has worked supremely well for the franchise previously, therefore the director Christopher McQuarrie has stuck by it, adding his fresh flavour to the storyline and character development.

Nothing seems to be in favour of Hunt and his team, as the operative’s past mistakes and relationships are used against him in totality.

Moving forward:

The franchise began as a spin-off of the TV Series but spiralled forward and succeeded in creating a niche for itself in the genre of action-packed movies to watch in Canada. Each part of the Mission Impossible series gets better than the one before.

We’re anxiously waiting for Mission Impossible 7 and Mission Impossible 8, which are speculated to be released somewhere in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
