ESPN Plus Free Trial: Does ESPN+ Have a Free Trial?

There is one question on everyone’s mind, is there an ESPN Plus free trial in USA? The short answer is, No. ESPN+ does not offer a free trial for users anymore. Previously, subscribers got a limited free trial period, but ESPN removed the option in 2020.

ESPN Plus used to offer a 7-day Espn Plus free trial, but not anymore. The service has ended the trial option. However, there is still a way to get ESPN Plus outside USA for free.

Free trials were pretty standard with on-demand services like Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus etc. It is a great way for users to test the service before subscribing to the service. However, that is not the case with ESPN anymore.

Like Netflix, ESPN Plus has also removed its free trial, so now users have to subscribe to a monthly plan to access its content. The good news about ESPN is that it offers a monthly plan for just $6.99/month, and there is no long-term commitment, so you can cancel ESPN+ anytime.

Note: ESPN Plus is not available outside US due to broadcasting rights. To watch ESPN+ outside United States, you will need a VPN like ExpressVPN. A VPN will assign you a US IP address to unblock the sports channel anywhere outside USA with ease.

How Long Was The ESPN Plus Free Trial?

ESPN+ used to offer a 30-day free trial back in 2018 when the service launched in the US. However, ESPN Plus free trial is no longer available. It was available for just $4.99/month with access to live content, including Fire broadcasts, college leagues, MLS matches, and much more.

However, as their subscriber base grew rapidly and it became quite popular among fans, ESPN+ reduced the trial period, ultimately removing it altogether.

When Was The ESPN+ Free Trial Removed?

Even though the company made no announcement regarding the cancellation of the free trial, it was removed from their website in the early 2020s.

Unfortunately, we are not sure whether or not ESPN’s free trial will return. However, if the subscribers start to decrease in the future, or if ESPN plans to increase their subscriber base, we might get another free trial. For now, nothing can be said with surety.
