“It feels very, very different to the rest of the season,” he stated while talking to RadioTimes.com. “It feels very, very different to anything we’ve done before. It’s very epic in scope. It feels like a film—it’s a kind of dry run for the feature film.”

Series director Anthony Byrne also made the confirmation to RadioTimes.com that the much-anticipated finale will be a splendid 81 minutes long episode.

“It’s such a Peaky thing to do for the last hurrah. It’s the 10:22 news for one night only,” he stated. He also added that the fans can expect something new from its ultimate TV outing.

While talking about that he said, “the film, I know exactly what it’s about. And I know what two stories it’s going to tell. How the story will unfold, I don’t know. What will happen after that, I want that to depend on the film. For all we know somebody is going to pop out – I think I know who it’s going to be.”

Byrne also explained in detail when he was speaking to RadioTimes.com why some of the fans might feel a “slightly different tone” into these final episodes run of Peaky and it may feel different to them. And will there be any left of him?” he stated. “That’s what it is for me. And audiences who love the character will go with it because they’re on a journey with this guy, with Tommy Shelby.”

He further added into his statement that there is “always going to be an element of people who want just the same stuff,” but also explained how important it was for the creative team of the show that the series needs to “change” and “evolve.”
