Sadie Sink Shares Her Thoughts on Filming the Emotional End of Stranger Things

Sadie Sink Says Emotional ‘Stranger Things’ Finale Will Be ‘Awful to Film’ ‘It’s Scary and Sad’

Sadie Sink, the actress who plays Max in the hit Netflix show “Stranger Things,” recently opened up about her experience filming the emotional final season of the show. Sink’s breakthrough role on the popular Netflix series, which will come to a close with the upcoming fifth and final season, has been a part of her life for the past six years. Along with her fellow cast members Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Joe Keery, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, and Joseph Quinn, among others, the series is about to come to an end.

The conclusion of the fourth season of the Netflix original series Stranger Things included a cliffhanger. When a member of the cast, Sadie Sink, appeared on Today with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush this morning to discuss what may take place in the fifth and final season of the show, viewers were eager to hear what she had to say about the possibilities.

We know that it’s happening and that it’s the last season, so it’s going to be emotional, I’m sure,” Sink said during the “Today” show, predicting what that day will be like on set. “It’s going to be awful. It’s going to be horrible. These kids, this entire cast and crew, it’s family. People say that all the time, but I genuinely mean it. And to think that we have to say goodbye to that security and knowing that we’re going to be seeing each other for another season?” She added, “It’s scary and sad, but I think it’s exciting to kind of move on to the next chapter, I guess.”

Despite the challenges of filming such an emotional conclusion, Sink expressed gratitude for being a part of the “Stranger Things” cast. She said that working on the show has been an incredible experience and that she will always cherish the memories and friendships she has made.

Sink also spoke about the evolution of her character, Max, throughout the show. She said that Max has grown a lot and become more confident in herself and that she hopes the character’s journey will inspire other young girls to be true to themselves and embrace their strength. When Max, played by Sink, was assaulted by Vecna, played by Jamie Campbell Bower, Eleven, played by Brown, appeared to come to her rescue and save her from harm. “Spoiler-free, just with the way my character ended in Season 4, I have no idea what is going to be happen,” Sink said. “But I’ll be there.”

Ross Duffer said, “We have so many characters now, most who are still living. It’s important to wrap up those arcs as a lot of these characters have been growing since Season 1. So it’s a balancing act between giving them time to complete their character arcs and also tying up these loose ends and doing our final reveals…The way we see it, is a kind of  culmination of all the seasons, so it’s sort of got a little bit from each. I think that what we’re trying to do is go back to the beginning a little bit, in sort of the tone of 1.”

Sink’s comments about the emotional finale only add to the anticipation and excitement for the final season. It’s clear that the cast and crew have poured their hearts into the show, and fans are sure to be moved by the conclusion of this beloved series. Fans are excited to see Vecna as they find him Hot. They are looking forward to seeing him in action in the last season.

Overall, Sadie Sink’s insights into the final season of “Stranger Things” have only increased the anticipation and excitement for the show’s highly-anticipated conclusion. The show has gained a massive following since its debut in 2016, with its mix of nostalgia, sci-fi, and heart-pounding action earning it a devoted fan base. With the finale set to be both “scary and sad,” it’s clear that fans are in for an emotional rollercoaster when the final season is released on Netflix later this year. The end of an era is always difficult, but with a show as beloved as “Stranger Things,” it’s sure to be a poignant and memorable finale.
