Zendaya’s mom seemingly reacts to Tom Holland engagement rumors

Zendaya’s mother, Claire Stoermer, is presumably stopping recent speculations about her daughter and her boyfriend Tom Holland’s engagement by warning fans to avoid “clickbait.”

She shared the meaning of the word in a mysterious manner on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, as fans were talking over the supposed engagement of the “Euphoria” actress.

This is what she says in her Instagram story:

“Clickbait typically refers to the practice of writing sensationalized or misleading headlines in order to attract clicks on a piece of content,” the online dictionary definition read.

“It often relies on exaggerating claims or leaving out key information in order to encourage traffic. The term is generally used in a dismissive sense,” the quote went on.

Stoermer did not include any further context or reactions in her post, but it came several days after ramped-up rumors about the romantic relationship between the “Spider-Man” costars.

Furthermore, another Twitter account named Pop Hive uploaded a picture of the couple along with a caption claiming that they were “Tom Holland and Zendaya are reportedly engaged!

The account did not identify the source of the “report,” however the message was published a few days after an insider told Us Weekly that the couple’s relationship was “serious and permanent.”

A few days later, on Tuesday, several Twitter accounts reported the fake engagement of Zendaya and Holland.

Tweets that were published by unverified accounts, such as @ThePopTingz and @westenthu, received a large number of likes and retweets. In spite of the existence of actual proof, followers started publishing their responses to the news online, and some of these posts became viral.

It is unclear where the false rumors got their start, considering that none of the tweets that went viral listed any credible sources or newspapers as their evidence.

But a report that was published in the most recent issue of Us Weekly cites a source as saying that Zendaya and Holland are “both in settling-down mode and are absolutely planning for a real future together.”

When it comes to the point of their relationship, it is fascinating to learn how the two of them first became acquainted with one another:

Zendaya and Tom Holland first met through their respective roles as Mary Jane and Peter Parker in the most current remake of the “Spider-Man” film franchise produced by Sony and Marvel. However, If you are a fan of Marvel, you can watch all of the films in chronological order in the year 2022.

The first time the actors appeared in a film together was in the 2017 film “Spider-Man: Homecoming” Since then, they have acted in two Spider-Man films together: “Spider-Man: Far From Home” (2019) and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (2021).

Over time, the couple denied dating allegations and stated that their connection was platonic. However, they were spotted kissing in an Audi driven by Holland in July 2021. Since then, the performers have typically kept their relationship private.

A few months later, in a cover story for GQ’s Men of the Year edition, Holland stated that he and Zendaya “sort of felt robbed of our privacy” when paparazzi captured images of them that summer in the car.

“One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world,” Holland said.

The Uncharted star also said that “it’s not a conversation that I can have without her.”

“This isn’t my story. It’s our story. And we’ll talk about what it is when we’re ready to talk about it together,” Holland said.

Additionally, Zendaya has previously said she found the public’s fascination with her relationship with Holland “quite strange and weird and confusing and invasive.”

“The equal sentiment [we both share] is just that when you really love and care about somebody, some moments or things, you wish were your own,” she told GQ in November 2021.
