He soon comes across a lone mammoth and joins forces with him to find the family of a human child left behind. Meanwhile, a saber-toothed tiger called Diego is on a killing spree to kill the child as directed by the leader of his pride.

The film received phenomenal success and was also nominated at the 75th Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

In the second instalment that is ice age the meltdown from the ‘mammoth’ of ice age franchise, we saw a unique friendship between Manny, Sid, and Diego amidst a life-threatening crisis. In an odd turn of events, Manny has had some loner boy issues when he meets the love of his life, Ellie, a female mammoth who thinks she’s an opossum. The film was a commercial success and was very well received at the box office.

The second Ice Age short film called ‘No Time for Nuts’ follows the time-traveling adventures of Scrat. Scrat comes across a buried time machine while he’s trying to hide his acorns. In typical Scrat fashion, he accidentally switched the machine on and is thrown into different timelines across human history.

 Another entry in the animated short series, Surviving Sid focuses mainly on the adventures of Sid. The film follows just two weeks after the events of Ice Age: Meltdown and features Sid adjusting to his new role as a camp counselor to a group of children. In his frantic attempt to build a rapport with the children, he fails miserably, evidently making it a complete fool out of himself.
