Super Mario Movie to be Released in 2022, Confirms Nintendo Officially

The big news has arrived for Super Mario fans as the Super Mario movie is all set to be released in 2022!

Nintendo has officially confirmed that Shigeru Miyamoto, who’s the creator of Mario, is collaborating on this project. The news came out through the Nintendo’s Corporate Management Policy Briefing and it gave out the official release window for the Super Mario animated movie.

This year marks the 35th anniversary of Super Mario, which started back in the year 1985. The briefing shed lights on their recently opened Nintendo Tokyo and their under construction theme park namely Super Nintendo World.

According to Nintendo, Production is moving ahead smoothly and it is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2022.Chris Meledandri (CEO and founder of Illumination) popular for the Minions movie, is working alongside Shigeru Miyamoto as co-producers. The movie will be distributed worldwide by Universal Pictures.
