The Addams Family Fans Want Depp and Ricci as Gomez and Morticia in Tim Burton’s Reboot

A reboot of The Addams Family is underway and Tim Burton; the director of Batman and Beetlejuice, is the one leading it.

A new “The Addams Family” TV series is being developed by Tim Burton and we expect him t be the director of all the episodes of the series. As soon as the news came out, fans were quick to jump to their keyboards and many of them have tweeted, suggesting to cast Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci to play the role of Gomez and Morticia.

Tim Burton will be the Executive Producer of the series and Alfred Gough and Miles Millar will be the writers and showrunners. As of now, nobody knows where this new “The Addams Family” TV series will be airing. Many streaming services and networks are bidding for the rights and Netflix is also in this race.

Replacing John Astin and Anjelica Huston will be a really tough job because of the remarkable job they have done with their characters. Johnny Depp will be a great option for playing the role of Gomez because he has the potential to blend into the character. He has played numerous characters which were extremely rare and hard to play like that of Captain Jack Sparrow.
