The Pakistan consulate in New Delhi has given visas to three Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) members, who include the newly elected President, Roger Binni.
The other two members who have received visas to visit Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup are BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla and Executive Assistant Muhammad Akram.
Mr. Binni and the rest of the delegation will also feature in some thrilling and highly awaited games you’ll enjoy as you watch Asia Cup Live Streaming in New Zealand.
The Indian Cricket Board had asked for seven official visas and is hopeful that BCCI’s Secretary Jay Shah and other officials will also get permission to visit Pakistan.
Mr. Binni will be the first BCCI President to go to Pakistan in 18 years since the last visit happened during the Asian Cricket Council camp in 2005.
The BCCI President hopes his visit will help improve cricket relations between Pakistan and India. The BCCI members will also travel to Sri Lanka, the other host nation, for the much anticipated India vs Pakistan fixture.
Acknowledging the significance of the cricket matches between the two rival countries, Mr.Binni said that cricket fans who watch India vs. Pakistan Live in New Zealand or elsewhere can expect a more exciting experience than The Ashes.
India and Pakistan will face each other in their Group A match on September 2. Both teams are considered favourites to qualify for the next round, while newcomer Nepal faces a tough challenge.
If things go as expected, the two teams will lock horns again in the Super Four round.
