The Jurassic Park franchise played a huge role in our childhood memories about prehistoric beasts and is a major reason why so many generations of kids aspired to become archaeologists after watching the series.
Coming back to the dinosaurs, the franchise has done remarkably well since the release of the first film, Jurassic Park (1993), and boasts several successful additions to the franchise. Steven Spielberg, who directed the Jurassic Park film, based his movie on the novel Jurassic Park written by Michael Crichton, which took the world by storm when it was first released.
A sixth film in the series, Jurassic World: Dominion is scheduled for release in 2022. The filming locations was mostly California.
Masterminds plot to bring the captured dinosaurs to Lockwood’s estate and auction them off to wealthy bidders.
Jurassic Park won more than twenty awards, including three Oscars, and in 2018 the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry. It also has a four part comic book series named Devils in the Desert Jurassic Park.
