Liverpool has taken the lead in the recent Premier League match, and even Pep Guardiola from Manchester City thinks they’re now the team to beat.
Liverpool won their latest game against Brighton with a score of 2-1. This win pushed them ahead of Arsenal and Manchester City, making them the top team with just nine games left in the season.
In the previous game between Manchester City and Arsenal, the match ended without any goals. This was a bit of a surprise because Manchester City usually scores when they play at home.

The game kept City’s record of not losing at home since November 2022 and stopped Arsenal’s winning streak of eight games.
The match was quite important because both teams were very good at scoring goals, but this time, they were not able to perform as expected. Arsenal has been scoring a lot in their recent games, but they couldn’t get past City’s defense this time.
Both teams had some chances to score, but they didn’t manage to get the ball into the net.
After the match, Pep Guardiola (manager of Premier League club Manchester City) was asked if Liverpool was in first position. He replied:
Yes. Liverpool is always who is first in favourites, second is Arsenal and we are third.
Guardiola said that Liverpool is now in a better position to win the title because they won their game and are now ahead of everyone else. He mentioned that City and Arsenal both need to do well in their remaining games and hope Liverpool doesn’t do as well if they want to win the title.
This season’s Premier League is very exciting and close, and it looks like the fight to win will go on until the very end.
