Kenan Thompson, who has worked on shows like “All That” and “Kenan & Kel,” talked about a new TV series that looks into some scary stuff that happened behind the scenes of kids’ shows.
The show called “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” tells stories about harassment that the show’s previous stars are claiming happened to them during production.
To answer these allegations, Kenan said:
I didn’t see any of this bad stuff myself because it happened after I left the network Nickelodeon. But I feel really sad for anyone who was hurt or had a bad time.
Kenan also appeared on the Tamron Hall Show and said that he didn’t know about these terrible instances while he was on the production team.
I have quite fond memories of my costars from that time. But I feel very bad about the things some people went through. I know it must have been very tought.
During the production of Quiet on Set episodes, Kenan worked with Dan Schneider but mentioned that he wasn’t around much on “Kenan & Kel” shooting.
After the allegations, Dan Schneider made a video saying sorry for some things he did that he’s not proud of. Nickelodeon also shared a message that said they always try to make sure everyone is safe and happy at work, but they can’t say for sure what happened as it was a long time ago.
If you want to learn more about what happened and hear the stories from the people involved, you can watch Dan Schneider documentary “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” on Discovery Plus.
