The UConn men’s and women’s basketball teams have both made it to the Final Four this year. This is a big deal because it’s the fifth time both teams from UConn have done this at the same time.
The UConn women beat a really good team, USC, to get here, even though they’ve had a lot of injuries. They won their game 80-73, and it’s their 24th time reaching the Final Four.

The women’s team has been amazing for a while, getting to the Final Four 16 times in the last 17 years. Despite many injuries this year, key players Paige Bueckers, Aaliyah Edwards, and Nika Muhl played the whole game and helped win.
NC State’s men’s and women’s teams also got to the Final Four, which is exciting for them. The women’s team beat Texas, and the men beat Duke. This is a big achievement for NC State, showing they’re getting good at basketball too.
Looking ahead, the UConn women will play against South Carolina, and the men will play against Alabama. NC State’s women will face Iowa, and their men will play Purdue. These games will be exciting and show which teams are the best.
