Big News: BBC iPlayer Expands EastEnders Classic Episodes Collection with Hundreds of New Releases for Fans!

Hey, fellow EastEnders fans, get ready for some awesome news that’s got me buzzing!

In 2024, BBC iPlayer will be our best friend because they’re adding a ton of classic EastEnders episodes, and I mean a ton! Starting March 26th, every month we’re going to get a whole year’s worth of episodes to binge-watch. Can you believe it?

We already have episodes from 2008 to 2011 to enjoy but hold onto your hats because starting this Tuesday (March 25), we get to dive into all of 2012’s drama. And it doesn’t stop there. On the 25th of each month, we’re getting even more episodes, so by Christmas, we’ll have over 2,000 episodes from the past 16 years ready for our viewing pleasure.

I’m so excited I could do a little dance!

Chris Clenshaw, the producer, says we’re in for a treat with iconic storylines and unforgettable characters. We’re talking about revisiting the big mysteries, the tearjerkers, and those jaw-dropping moments like “Who Killed Lucy Beale?”, Peggy’s sad goodbye, Stacey’s battle with post-partum psychosis, and Kathy’s unbelievable return.

Dan McGolpin, Director of BBC iPlayer, had this to say:

It’s fantastic to see EastEnders in such great form for 2024 and this is generating strong demand from viewers to enjoy earlier episodes on BBC iPlayer. I’m delighted that we’re able to add all of 2012 by the end of the month and we’ll have more than 2,000 episodes available by Christmas.

By Christmas 2024, we’ll have everything from 2008 to the latest episodes right at our fingertips. And let’s not forget, EastEnders has been a huge part of our lives since it started in 1985, tackling big issues and giving us countless memorable moments.

And the best part? No more rushing to be in front of the TV at 7:30 pm. We can watch our favorite show on BBC iPlayer abroad, sometimes even catching episodes at 6 am before they air on TV.

So, to all my EastEnders buddies, our dedication to the drama of Albert Square is about to pay off in the biggest way. Let’s get ready to relive the good times, shed some tears, and maybe even discover some moments we missed the first time around. It’s going to be epic!
