I’m thrilled to share some fantastic news about one of my favorite series, Blue Lights, which just dropped an exciting new trailer for its upcoming second season. Even better, they’ve set the premiere date!
And if that’s not enough, the season kicks off on BBC One on April 15th, with the first episode airing at 9 pm that evening. The anticipation is real!
I often watch BBC iPlayer abroad and enjoy its incredible selection of shows. I was over the moon when Blue Lights first graced the platform last year. The BBC police drama, set in Northern Ireland, quickly captured my heart and, evidently, of many others.
Without further ado, here’s the trailer:
Imagine my excitement when I learned that we wouldn’t have to wait much longer for more gripping action. The entire second season, all six episodes, will be available to binge on BBC iPlayer from 6 am on Monday, April 15.
The latest trailer has just intensified my excitement. It brings back beloved characters and introduces us to some intriguing new faces. We see the return of the Blue Lights season 2 cast.
It includes new PSNI recruits Grace (Siân Brooke), Annie (Katherine Devlin), and Tommy (Nathan Braniff), along with familiar faces like Stevie (Martin McCann), Helen (Joanne Crawford), and Sandra (Andi Osho).

The storyline picks up a year after the events of the last season, thrusting our officers into a gangland feud that promises a “violent and devastating confrontation.”
Plus, the evolving relationship between Grace and Stevie adds another layer of depth to the narrative, especially when Grace declares in a poignant moment,
I don’t need anyone to protect me. I never have.
Adding to the excitement, Derek Thompson makes a brief but memorable appearance in the trailer, a significant departure from his iconic role in Casualty.

And the cherry on top? Blue Lights has been confirmed for both a third and a fourth season! It’s clear the journey with these police recruits is far from over, and I can’t wait to see where it takes us.
So, get ready for the premiere of Blue Lights’ second season on BBC One on Monday, April 15, at 9 p.m. All episodes will also drop on BBC iPlayer at 6 a.m. I know I’ll set my alarm early that day to dive right in!
