In reaction to Jay Shah’s comments on the Asia Cup 2023 venue and Team India’s participation, Pakistan has threatened to abstain from the next fifty-over World Cup that will be held in India in 2023.

Danish Kaneria, who played for Pakistan in the past, has made a practice of criticizing the Pakistan Cricket Board. He has taken the side of the Indian board in the present verbal battle between the PCB and the BCCI.

Kaneria has expressed their disapproval with the body chaired by Ramiz Raja for their incendiary remark about Jay Shah’s statements.

After Shah’s confirmation that India will not travel to Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup and that the tournament will most likely be moved, the apex body of Pakistan cricket threatened to boycott the fifty-over World Cup in India. This threat came after Shah stated that India will not travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup in 2030.

Anurag Thakur, the minister of sports for India, has said that his nation would welcome all of the participants, even those from Pakistan; nevertheless, India will not listen to anybody.

Kaneria referred to India as the leader of cricket on the world stage. “India is the boss of international cricket and Pakistan have no right to dictate anything to its boss. Also, what Anurag Thakur said is right. India will not listen to anyone.”  In addition to this, what Anurag Thakur remarked was spot on. Kaneria said that India will not pay attention to anybody.
